Jim Eades, CPCU, joined the Professional Liability practice at Arlington/Roe & Co. in March 2005. As Vice President, his responsibilities include the management of the Professional Liability staff and the promotion/marketing of Arlington/Roe products and services as we expand beyond Indiana into Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Jim brings with him over 25 years experience in management, underwriting and marketing. He has served in many industry related capacities including Chairman of the Commercial Lines Committee for the Insurance Institute of Indiana, Ball State University’s Insurance Advisory Board, Executive Committee of the Insurance Information Association of Michigan, and past President of the Indiana Insurance Managers Association. Prior to joining Arlington/Roe & Co. Jim served in many capacities with the Ohio Casualty Group, including Branch Manager of both the Seattle, Washington and Indianapolis, Indiana offices. In addition, Jim served in a Regional Management capacity with the Company. The Indianapolis Branch was responsible for over $100 million in premium volume, and handled Commercial, Personal and Specialty Lines of business. Jim obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Marketing and Management at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Al joined Arlington/Roe in April of 1987. Prior to joining the agency, Al was with the National Association for Mutual Insurance Companies, where he served as Agency Manager. He was involved in the development and marketing of Directors and Officers Insurance, Insurance Companies Professional Liability and Agents' Errors and Omissions. As Executive Vice President for Arlington/Roe, he has the responsibility in both the Professional Liability and Brokerage Departments. As an individual broker, Al specializes in Professional Liability, Commercial Property, Excess Liability, D&O, E&O, and other miscellaneous coverages. Al attended Ball State University; he also served in the United States Air Force, receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1971. He is currently a member of the Insurance Advisory Board for Ball State University, Department of Insurance.

Karen Stites joined Arlington/Roe in April 2007. Karen attended Western Michigan University majoring in elementary education. She moved to Traverse City in 1974 and began her Insurance career with an independent insurance agency. Karen returned to Kalamazoo in 1977 and began working in surplus lines where she rose in ten years from Underwriting Technician to Vice President. A member of the Certified Insurance Counselor Society, Karen also participates in the Professional Liability Underwriters Society. Married for 33 years, Karen and Rick have two daughters, Courtney and Megan. In Karen’s spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling and golf.

Anita Jones joined Arlington/Roe in 1991 in the Personal Lines Department, handling various duties. She then moved to the Professional Liability department in 1993, mainly handling placement of Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Miscellaneous Professional Liability and Public Entities Professional Liability. Anita began her insurance career in 1972 with Allianz Insurance Company in Stuttgart, Germany, where she earned her degree as a Personal Lines Underwriter. She then worked for a smaller carrier as a Personal Lines Auto Underwriter for 5 years, until moving to the United States in 1980. She is currently working on her RPLU designation.

Doris joined Arlington/Roe in 2004. She works as a Broker handling placement of Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Practices, Professional Liability and Healthcare related business. Prior to joining Arlington/Roe, she was a Medical Malpractice Underwriter for 7 years with PHICO and then GE/ERC/Medical Protective. She started her career in Professional Liability in 1980 with the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies where she acted as the Assistant Agency Manager/Underwriter. Doris graduated from Indiana University with a BA in Germanic Languages. She is currently working on her CPCU, RPLU and CIC designations.

John rejoined Arlington/Roe in February of 2006. He is working from our Geneva, IL office. His focus is producing Professional Liability business and marketing all of Arlington/Roe's products and services to our Illinois producers. Prior to joining Arlington/Roe, John served as a small business owner, consulting nationally to the gaming industry and numerous not-for-profit organizations. John is currently working towards his CIC designation.
